A page for your loved one, from the day they pass to the years after.
memory.Path is one page, one link and one QR code on the stone. In the first days it tells family and friends where to gather. On the funeral day it is the programme. Afterwards it is their memorial, for as long as the stone stands.
The example is for Nosipho Jali, who is not a real person. Her page shows everything a family can do.
One page through every stage
-
Before the funeral
- The announcement, in your own words.
- Prayer evenings, the memorial service and the funeral, each with its date, time and place.
- Updates from the family: directions, a change of plan, a thank you. They show the moment you post them.
-
The funeral day
- The programme on every phone: the order of service, the obituary, the hymns and the way to the graveside.
- If the time changes after the programme is printed, change it once and everyone sees the new time.
-
Their memorial
- Their life as a path: the moments that made them, with photographs.
- Tributes, flowers and candles from everyone who loved them.
- Later news, such as the date and place of the unveiling.
The QR code on the stone
Anyone standing at the grave can scan it and open the page: to read about them, to light a candle, or to leave a few words. You can also share the link on WhatsApp, today and for years to come.
Your family is in charge
- Exhale gives the family a four-digit PIN. With it you post updates, add gatherings and photographs, and write the programme, from your phone.
- Words from people outside the family wait for you to approve them.
- You can take anything off the page.
- If you prefer, Exhale will set it up for you: send us the paper programme and we will type it in.
Try the family side
Open the example page, tap More ways to add to her page, and enter the example PIN:

This is a shared example: anything you add may be changed or removed.
Kept safe
- A home address is never shown. Visitors see "The family will share directions".
- Times are always South African time.
- The page is never switched off. What your family wrote stays.
